| Description |
The objective of the research was to identified the role of farmers group in increasing the members competence in adoption of innovation technology. The farmers group studied were members of “KUBE cooperative” in the social forestry program located in Kecamatan landono, south Konawe Regency of South East Sulawesi Provice. The hypothesis for this research was that the increase in the competence of group members is in fluenced by the role of groups based on the members knowledge and opinion. The sample consisted of fifty (50) people, all were members of the groups. The results showed that the most significant factor in increasing the competence of group was the knowledge and opinion of the members. The role of study groups has a significant impact in adaptation of inovatif technology as well as in marketing of the farmers products.
