Lontar germination has an unique patterncommonly different from other plants or evenwith a fellow of monocotyledon class. Initially,the apocoll shows up, elongates, and penetratesinto the ground to the depth of 40-56 cm, and itsgerm needs time quite long, about 12 or 14months to produce the leaves. Germ patternexpectedly relates to water limit factor. Researchaims to observed how the pattern of lontar germforms if it planted on out of ecology. The resultsshowed that lontar germination had similarpattern and similar humidity. The time of leavesgrowth were 6 to 8 months faster compared tothe field growth.
